Please note that Wednesday, January 25 will follow a regular schedule. Our 2016-2017 student planners incorrectly list Wednesday, January 25 as a faculty professional development schedule. Thank you for your cooperation.
Edgewood High School is sponsoring a two-week trip to Japan in June of 2017 with Ms. Maekawa, Ms. Mertens, and Mr. Pantano. This excursion offers students an opportunity to experience various aspects of contemporary Japan with its mix of traditional and modern. Our goal is for students to participate in experiences that are not available elsewhere and to learn what makes Japan special.
The trip includes visits to Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Hiroshima, Nikko, and Tokyo. Students will learn some Japanese language, eat delicious Japanese food, ride in public transportation including the Shinkansen (bullet train), visit world heritage sites, modern shopping districts, and other wonderful attractions around Japan. Additional information is available online.
