RELATED CO-CURRICULA
Art students have the opportunity to choose to be involved in a number of co-curricula which can develop their talents and provide fun and enrichment:
- EHS Drama: Students can participate in set, light, sound, props, costume or makeup crews.
- Crusader Yearbook: Students can be active in all aspects of producing a publication, including photography, writing, editing and layout.
- Art Adventure Club: Depending on student interest, there is at times an Art Club that meets after school. Currently there is a Stained Glass club working on creating art windows to enhance some glass panes inside the school.

PHILOSOPHY
The Art Department provides students the opportunity to celebrate the ordinary, grow in the ability to make personal statements, develop aesthetic judgment and become familiar with cultural heritage. We follow the National Art Education Association concept that school art includes experiences selected and organized to broaden understanding in all four aspects of art -- perceiving, performing, appreciating and critiquing. As a result of taking EHS art courses, students will be able to:
- have intense involvement and response to personal visual experiences
- perceive and understand visual relationships in the environment
- think, feel and act creatively with visual art
materials
- acquire a knowledge of our visual art heritage
- understand the nature of art and the creative process
