PHILOSOPHY
The goals of the science department are twofold. We first seek to provide students with the knowledge needed to be scientifically literate citizens. This demands that students learn the fundamentals of the scientific disciplines and more importantly, learn about scientific reasoning, experimental methods and processes. We also prepare students for college level science courses so they can pursue careers in science fields.
