18th Annual Edgewood in the Community

18th Annual Edgewood in the Community
EIC 2016More than 600 volunteers will come together at Edgewood High School on Wednesday, September 20 for Edgewood in the Community, a service day that provides more than 3,000 volunteer hours in a single day.

The school’s student body, along with faculty, staff, parents, guardians and other volunteers, will board 25 school buses in the morning and ride to approximately 50 community organizations across Dane County. Students work in “teams” supervised by adults and provide Dane County sites with volunteer efforts in the areas of education, hunger, housing, environment and human services.

The day is set aside for Edgewood to contribute back to the community and focus on the mission of EHS: Encourage social responsibility, commitment to service and improve the quality of life through peace and justice.
