ACTIVITIES & CLUBS (also known as "Co-curricula") Edgewood offers 27 co-curricular activities -- one for every two dozen students -- including language, leadership, literary, math, performing arts, political, recreational sport, science, service, social, social action and visual art clubs. Over 95% of EHS students participate in at least one club, activity or sport -- most in many more.
ATHLETICS Edgewood offers 27 sports for girls and boys from fall through spring -- alpine ski racing, baseball, basketball, cross country, diving, football, golf, gymnastics, hockey, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track & field, volleyball and wrestling. Most teams offer freshman, junior varsity and varsity squads. Over 2/3 of Edgewood students take part in one or more sports.
Most EHS Fine Arts offerings are part of the curriculum (courses). Here you'll find basic information on Fine Arts CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES, which have no course element, although many Fine Arts courses have an activity element! Nearly 75% of EHS students take a Fine Arts course in any given year, and all are required to take at least 1 such course to graduate. (For more on Arts courses, go to Academic Subjects.)
MUSIC Music has SO many ensembles, events and opportunities that it needs its own website! Classes include choirs, show choir, band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, piano and hand bells. Co-curricula currently include pep band, spring musical, drumline, a cappella, fiddle band and Fine Arts Festival opportunities. New groups are created as student interests arise! |
