Mission

Edgewood, a Catholic high school, educates the whole student for a life of learning, service, and personal responsibility through a rigorous academic curriculum that embraces the Sinsinawa Dominican values of Truth, Compassion, Justice, Community and Partnership.

Vision & Sponsorship

Venerable Father Samuel Mazzuchelli, OP, founded the Sinsinawa Dominican Congregation in 1847. In 1881, the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa founded Edgewood High School to carry out their mission to preach and teach. In 2023, five congregations of Dominican Sisters in the United States collaborated to create Dominican Veritas Ministries (DVM) to sponsor all of their schools, including Edgewood High School, and continue to provide guidance, support, and official Vatican recognition of each school’s Dominican heritage and mission.

DVM

Dominican Veritas Ministries ensures the Catholic and Dominican identity of its schools through sponsorship, a relationship rooted in spiritual formation, financial stewardship, and governance. By partnering with school leaders, we guide and support each ministry in fulfilling its Dominican Catholic mission with faithfulness, care, and collaboration.
