Edgewood does a comprehensive review of all completed applications submitted by the deadline. This application is free of charge and should take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete.

Edgewood does not maintain a waitlist prior to application submission.

Freshman Year Application - Class of 2031

Application Available:  October 1, 2026
Priority Deadline:  December 1, 2026*
Decision Notification:  Week of January 11, 2027
*Edgewood HS will continue to accept applications after the initial deadline, reviewing them on a rolling basis, as space allows. Students on the deferred and waiting pool lists will also be reviewed monthly.

Step 2 | Schedule the Student Interview

There are two ways for your child to complete the Student Interview:

By appointment -
- After submitting the Application Form, login to the FinalSite Parent Portal.
- Using the option in the checklist, select an available time slot.
- On the day of the appointment, come to the main office at your scheduled time.
As part of a Shadow Day -
- When scheduling a Shadow Day for your child, check the box "yes" for the student interview question.
  - To schedule a Shadow Day, complete the Inquiry Form and select the "Shadow Day". Complete the additional questions and select an available date before submitting the form.
- During the Shadow Day, your child will be brought to the office to complete the interview during their student ambassador's study hall.

Step 3 | Upload Academic Records

Upload the following documents to the FinalSite Parent Portal you created to submit the application form.

7th Grade Transcript
8th Grade First Quarter/Trimester Grades**, or most recent quarter (2nd, 3rd, or 4th; whichever is most recent)
Star Assessment results for Math and Reading***
If applicable - Student Support Documentation (learning and/or medical)

**Schools on Trimester - If your child's school is on a trimester schedule, the first-trimester transcript may be submitted by December 8.

***Star Assessment - Many area middle schools utilize this standardized test in the fall of 8th grade as part of their regular practices. For students that do not test through their school, Edgewood administers the Star Assessment by appointment. Contact Admissions to arrange a test date.

Step 4 | Decision Notification

Notifications will be sent to the family email on record. Students will be assigned one of the following statuses: Accepted, Deferred, Wait Pool, or Denied.

Transfer Student Application

Transfer Student Application Process

Edgewood welcomes qualified transfer applicants as space permits. To provide students with the strongest start, transfers typically begin at the start of the first semester. On occasion, second-semester transfers may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Application Available:  January 1, 2027
Priority Deadline:  February 28, 2027*
Decision Notification:  March 15, 2027

Please note that Edgewood’s semesters run on a different timeline than area public schools:

1st Semester: Mid-August (approx. Aug.15) - December
2nd Semester: Early January - May

Accepted students will move on to the enrollment process.
Following admission to Edgewood High School, accepted students and their families will begin the enrollment process, receiving information about the enrollment form, deposit, and course selection shortly after notification. As part of this next step, parents and students will meet with the registrar or a Student Services counselor to select courses for the upcoming school year and submit their enrollment deposit.
