School Tours

A school tour is one of the most comprehensive ways to get to know Edgewood's program and community. Parents are welcome to bring their child on a tour, although most choose for their child to visit campus at a separate time. Interested students and families are invited to schedule a school tour for a chance to walk the halls, look in on classes, get a feel for our community and ask questions.

When: Scheduled most Monday - Thursdays between 8:00am - 3:00pm

Shadow Day Program

While shadowing is not a required part of the application process, it’s a great way for prospective 8th, 9th, and 10th grade students to experience life at Edgewood High School. During a Shadow Day, students attend classes, walk the halls, meet teachers, and get a feel for the social and academic environment.

Each visitor is paired with a student ambassador in the grade they will enter, matched based on co-curricular interests, academic goals, or even the same middle school. Shadowing is a common experience at EHS, and we work hard to ensure every guest feels welcomed and comfortable.

OPTIONAL: Shadow students have the option to complete their Student Interview during the Shadow Day. The interview lasts approximately 15 minutes and is a required part of the application process. If preferred, interviews may instead be scheduled separately between October 13 and December 16.

When: Scheduled most Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays between the last week of September and the first week of May.

Typical Schedule - 

• 7:30-7:40am  Shadow students arrive at the main office
  • Your child will be welcomed introduced to their ambassador for the day.
• 7:50am  Classes begin
  • Shadows will attend 8 class periods (we call them 'mods') and lunch with their ambassador.
    • If requested, the Student Interview will be held during one class period.
  • Throughout the day, the ambassador will introduce your child to all of their teachers and friends, as well as provide a short tour of the school.
  • Shadows are encouraged to participate in classes as much as possible, however, we also recommend bringing a book or homework along for study periods.
• 3:30pm  Classes end
  • Parents should pick their child up in the main office.

Fall Admissions Open House

Our Admissions Open House is over for the year, but we would be happy to give prospective families a personal tour of the school.

• Tour our beautiful campus.
• Speak with our passionate Faculty, Staff and Coaches.
• Explore the possibilities and discover how Edgewood educates the whole student for a life of learning, service, and personal responsibility.
