School Tours
A school tour is one of the most comprehensive ways to get to know Edgewood's program and community. Parents are welcome to bring their child on a tour, although most choose for their child to visit campus at a separate time. Interested students and families are invited to schedule a school tour for a chance to walk the halls, look in on classes, get a feel for our community and ask questions.
When: Scheduled most Monday - Thursdays between 8am - 3pm during the school year.
Length: Approx. 75 minutes

Shadow Day Program
While shadowing is not a required part of the application process, it’s a great way for prospective 8th, 9th, and 10th grade students to experience life at Edgewood High School. During a Shadow Day, students attend classes, walk the halls, meet teachers, and get a feel for the social and academic environment.
Each visitor is paired with a student ambassador in the grade they will enter, matched based on co-curricular interests, academic goals, or even the same middle school. Shadowing is a common experience at EHS, and we work hard to ensure every guest feels welcomed and comfortable.
OPTIONAL: Shadow students have the option to complete their Student Interview during the Shadow Day. The interview lasts approximately 15 minutes and is a required part of the application process. If preferred, interviews may instead be scheduled by appointment between October 5 - December 8.

When: Scheduled most Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays between the last week of September and the end of April.
Time: 7:40am - 3:30pm (see extended schedule below)

Typical Schedule -
- 7:30-7:40am Shadow students arrive at the main office
- Your child will be welcomed introduced to their ambassador for the day.
- 7:50am Classes begin
- Shadows will attend 8 class periods (we call them 'mods') and lunch with their ambassador.
- If requested, the Student Interview will be held during one class period.
- Throughout the day, the ambassador will introduce your child to all of their teachers and friends, as well as provide a short tour of the school.
- Shadows are encouraged to participate in classes as much as possible, however, we also recommend bringing a book or homework along for study periods.
- Shadows will attend 8 class periods (we call them 'mods') and lunch with their ambassador.
- 3:30pm Classes end
- Parents should pick their child up in the main office.
