Edgewood in the Community 2021

Edgewood in the Community

Grounded in the values of Truth, Compassion, Justice, Community and Partnership, service has been the cornerstone of an Edgewood High School education for 140 years. Our students’ commitment to working in our community did not stop during the pandemic. Edgewood students cumulatively served more than 2,000 hours last year.

Edgewood in the Community is our most important event of the year, with our entire student body, faculty, staff, alumni and parents coming together to support our community. The world we live in has changed greatly over the past year, making this event necessary now more than ever.

The fall 2020 Edgewood in the Community was canceled due to the pandemic, but we have planned a "mini" version of EIC for spring 2021! This two-day event scheduled for April 20 and 21 will have half the students participating each day. Those taking part in person will participate (wearing masks and observing distancing guidelines) in outdoor activities on site or will walk to neighborhood sites. Virtual students will complete service projects with materials at home.

All small group components will include team-building, prayer and connection to our Community Standard.
