Astrophysics Internships

Students selected for UW Astrophysics Internships

Congratulations to Jack Brolin, Jade Fitzgerald, and Wenting Lu on being selected to participate in ongoing research at UW-Madison’s Astrophysics department. As interns, they will collaborate with scientists in real-world experiments. The program takes place at the Wisconsin IceCube Particle Astrophysics Center. The IceCube project is an ongoing experiment to detect cosmic rays and neutrinos from outer space. While the actual observatory is in Antarctica, these students will get to study the data a little closer to home. They were chosen to be in a group of about 15 high school students to experiment, process data, and code.
