New EHS Principal Jerry Zander
Jerry Zander

Edgewood High School of the Sacred Heart in Madison is pleased and excited to announce Jerry Zander as our next principal.

Jerry has extensive experience in Catholic education as a teacher, a coach, an athletic director, an assistant principal, and a principal. He has experience with a major schedule change, has led professional development and has experience with multiple evaluation systems. He says he firmly believes that communication is the key to success and is looking forward to getting to know the Edgewood community and learning about the Edgewood culture.

Jerry says his plan for his first month, semester and year is to get to know the Edgewood community, students, parents, faculty and staff along with the culture of Edgewood and begin to collaborate and prioritize with everyone where and how we can maximize the Edgewood experience for our students.

Jerry comes most recently from Brophy College Preparatory, a Jesuit Catholic school for 6th through 12th grade boys in Phoenix, Arizona. He will be moving his wife and two sons, 11 and 9, to Madison and will be here to meet with faculty and staff on August 9, and in time for the August 16 start of the 2021-22 school year.

EHS President Mike Elliott says: “I am extremely excited to introduce Jerry to the Edgewood Community and even more excited to work with Jerry to enhance the Edgewood Experience.”
