Lenten Service

During Lent in 2019, many of Edgewood’s clubs that focus on service worked together to support THE ROAD HOME. The mission of The Road Home includes providing opportunities for homeless children and their families to achieve self-determined goals and affordable, stable housing. They currently operate eight housing programs and serve nearly 180 families with children in Dane County each year. See http://trhome.org/ for more information.

The clubs were involved in various activities to support THE ROAD HOME. Informational posters were placed throughout the school and a homeroom laundry basket collection took place. Raffles held during lunch mods earned money to buy items from The Road Home Wish List:  http://trhome.org/…/upl…/2018/06/The-Road-Home-Wish-List.pdf

On Easter Monday, students from every homeroom gathered their laundry baskets to organize the donations to present to The Road Home.

Thank you for your generosity in making this Lenten project a special one! Many families moving into new housing will appreciate these laundry baskets filled with household necessities.
