Health & Wellness

A Note From Nurse Sue
As the school nurse, it’s my privilege to care for and support our students’ health and well-being throughout their high school years. We believe that a healthy student is a thriving student—and our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where every young person can learn and grow to their fullest potential.
Our Health Office is more than a place for bandages and ice packs—it’s a space where students can find comfort, guidance, and understanding. Whether managing daily health needs, supporting students through illnesses or injuries, or promoting wellness and healthy habits, I partner closely with families, teachers, and counselors to ensure each student’s unique needs are met with compassion and care.

Mental Health
At Edgewood High School, we care about student well-being and have resources in place to support all students. If a student is struggling or just needs someone to talk to, they are encouraged to reach out to a member of Student Services or another trusted adult. Student Services has a wellness room that is available for students to take a break, reset, and care for their mental health during the school day.
Mental health is a fundamental part of your overall health, and deserves recognition and care.
We all work together to build a supportive community where everyone feels safe and able to prioritize their mental health.
